For five years Jane Drewes has performed the difficult job of treasurer for the Guilford Garden Club. She dealt with the Club's insurance, annual budget, controlling expenses and incomes. She maintained individual accounts for scholarship funds, tree planting funds and civic plantings. Her attention to detail is greatly appreciated by the Club.

This award for horticultural excellence was given to Leete's Island Garden Club, The Guilford Garden Club, and The Garden Club of Madison for the April 2023 joint meeting, Gardening with Beatrix Potter.

For 35 years Camille Ackerman has maintained a large flower garden in her yard for club members to cut to honor First responders, hospice, and various civic events. She donates flowers to decorate the historic museum houses in Guilford along with donations to teachers in town.

At the Awards meeting of The Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut on October 25, 2023, The Guilford Garden Club received a Citation for arranging flowers at Connecticut hospice every month for 35 years. The flowers lift the spirits of the patients, their families and the staff.
